Check out the cover for Book 3: Elixirs and Elves
Every time Viyiwi designs a new cover it's far more impressive than the last. I never think she can outdo herself, but she proves me wrong every time!
This latest cover is a mix of events from the third book in The Faerie Apothecary Mysteries: Elixirs and Elves. The snow falling behind the windows, the faerie dust on the tree, the icicles above the fireplace keeping form rather than melting away, this cover is full of Christmas magic! My favorite part of this cover is the nature faeries on the train. They are adorable, as always, and shocked by - what's this? A murder?
The cover shows the death of an elfkin. I know what you're thinking, "Oh no! Not Sal!" I could leave you in suspense, but I wouldn't do that to you. You can relax - it's not Sal. But who is it? Why would anyone want to murder an elfkin?
Aside from the magic and murder, you may notice Carissa's unusual dress. She's dressed to impress very important visitors in Moss Hill: The King of all Sidhe and Elves and his wife and son. Carissa is dealing with three main events in this book: the arrival of the King of Sidhe and Elves, the possibility of an arranged marriage, and, of course, a murder. Carissa's two worlds, that of human and fae, pull at each other more strongly than ever.
