Talismans and Turmoil Update 2

Slow but steady....

It's week 3 of writing Talismans and Turmoil and Carissa's journey is well underway. So far, the water started out calm, but things are getting murky. I won't give away any spoilers, but there's a pit stop on an island Carissa hadn't intended to visit.

There was also a pit stop for the author, since I went out of town for a few days last week. It was a relaxing three day getaway, but traveling seems to require a day to recover. I have no more vacations planned for a while, but I'm grateful I had the chance to spend some time in California beautiful weather.

This week, I've been back to work. I'm excited to see where the waters take Carissa from here on out. I've also started outlining the next book. I usually don't outline a book ahead, but always have a loose idea on what's going to happen. This time, since the next book is the last one in the series, I wanted a clearer plot line in my mind from this book to the end (or the beginning of something new?).

So, yes, the entire series is plotted and the fate of our faerie friends and our apothecary protagonist has been decided. But who knows? Sometimes the characters do what they want despite the author's best efforts. Whether their futures are fated or the Mossies forge their own destinies, it's only a matter of time before we find out. Their stories are playing out as this is posted, as long as I get back to work.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for reading!
